We started FowlPlay Decoys to solve a problem that shouldn't exist. Canada is home to the most iconic waterfowl regions on the planet. We have the birds—but we didn't have a major gear company that actually called Canada home.
A New Model: Canadian Direct
We’ve all been there: staring at a digital shopping cart filled with the gear we need, only to see the total skyrocket. Between the USD exchange rate, staggering shipping fees, and the inevitable "surprise" duty bill at the door, Canadian hunters have been paying a massive border tax just for the privilege of owning quality gear.
The alternative? Heading to a big-box retailer to buy whatever is left on the shelf—usually gear with flimsy materials and corner-cutting designs.
FowlPlay Decoys was founded to bridge the gap. We realized that by designing our gear here in Canada and shipping directly from our own Canadian warehouse, we could cut out the US middlemen and the international markups.
We didn't just use those savings to lower the price—we used them to build a tougher decoy.

- The 5mm Standard: While the big brands use 4mm bodies, we stepped up to 5mm high-density fluted material. It’s more rigid in high winds and stands up to the abuse of a 100-day season.
- 4K Realism: Our decoys feature 4K high-definition anatomical imaging. If they can see it, they’ll believe it.
- Heavy-Duty Stakes: We upgraded to 3.2mm spring-steel stakes. When the ground is like concrete, these bite where other stakes bend.
